TPC Family and Friends,

As many of you learned last week, we have recently been approached by an outside party with a unique opportunity to purchase a rather large sports facility in the area. We have scheduled a second information meeting to be held this Sunday, March 19th, immediately after church. During our first meeting, we had some great discussion with a lot of good questions. It appeared that most everyone felt comfortable taking a closer look. While we will have time for more Q&A after our second presentation, our primary goal is to confirm the church’s willingness to take a closer look. This would require that we, as a church, be willing to put down $50,000 earnest money that, from our understanding, is fully refundable if we decided not to move forward during the 90 day escrow period. We have asked a real-estate attorney to look over the contract to confirm that understanding.

We hope you will join us!

Thank you,

Alan

TPC Family & Friends,

Our mission statement is based off of Isaiah 61:1-3 where God invites us to join in on what He’s already doing in Northern Colorado and around the world. Simply put, "Our mission is to love the city of Fort Collins into a relationship with Jesus Christ and to give away to the world what God has give us!

We have 3 great ways coming up to be able to live that out as a church. Check them out!!!

Hi TPC Family & Friends,

Ashley and I had an amazing time this past week at the SEND Conference in Long Beach, CA. It was good for us to get away and get refreshed spiritually! A big “thank you” to our Worship & Youth Leader, Jeff Lorimer, for not just holding down the fort but for also doing an amazing job kicking off our new sermon relationship series: X’s & O’s. Great job, my friend!

This weekend’s message is called THE PRE-GAME where I’ll be talking about the single life, dating and sex. Regardless of if you are married or single (no matter the age), you need to hear this! Parents, you need to bring your teenager (or preteen)! I promise they are not immune to this. While the message is PG-13, I think anyone in 6th grade or older needs to hear it. Take a second and check out this article below that came out this week in USA Today — survey-singles-shows-new-dating-patterns. Here’s the deal: if the Bible addresses an issue with unrelenting frequency and urgency, and if that issue is one of the strongest natural forces in the world today, then we as the Church are obligated to talk about God's will on that issue. The sexual life of the unmarried person (we will talk about married people next week) is of great concern to God and therefore should be for us as well.

Alright, we have a lot going on this month — check it out below!

Blessings,

Alan

TableTalk Website

We are starting a new series this weekend called “TABLE TALK: Conversations about the Mission of the Church.”

This is what it is all about: Meals are one of the most important places of human connection. We’re often most fully alive to life when sharing a meal around a table. We shouldn’t be surprised, then, to find that throughout the Gospels, Jesus had a way of showing up at tables. We will talk about restoration, connection, and mission.

I hope you will join us!

TPC Family & Friends,

How was your Christmas break? The Reeds enjoyed a week with extended family down in Arkansas and Texas where the temperatures were in the 60s & 70s, but it feels good to be back home. It's a new year!!! Below is a verse that I'm claiming for 2017, and it will be my focal passage this Sunday. I hope to see you this weekend. Enjoy the snow!

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving. Colossians 3:23-24

Blessings,

Alan

A note from Alan header

TPC Family & Friends,

After Tuesday’s election results, I have seen many reactions ranging from “elation” to “desperation." For some, it is the greatest election miracle in American history. Others are quickly researching just how realistic it might be to move to Canada. No kidding!

Last week’s message in Exodus 32 dealt with DISTORTED WORSHIP and where we place our trust. If you were not with us last weekend, you can listen to it here. Psalm 20:7 says:

Some trust in chariots and some in horses,

but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Whether you are feeling “elation" or “desperation” this week — the real question to ask yourself is, “Where or with whom do I place my trust?” Your reaction to this week’s election MIGHT reveal more than you realize. Something to think about.

On another note, we’ve got lots of opportunities to bless others during this holiday season. Check it out below!

Blessings,

Alan
